Anyone ever experienced cracks between the cyclinders on the pre 1991 cummins 6cta 8.3L engines. the pre 1991 engines have the thick wall liner witch interms means thinner block between cyclinders witch is prone to cracking and leaking antifreeze internally Cummins fixed this after 1991 figures...

What is the CPL number on the engine tag relating to when ordering parts like a head gasket kit ? what does CPL mean ?

Started to see lots of white smoke out the exhaust then temp climbed fast so shut it down looked under hood and saw antifreeze running down the block from the head gasket

Well blew my head gasket today on 6cta Can someone point me to the tear down and reassembly manual on the TMs I have alot of work to do Merry Christmas to me
