That has happened to me. It ran for a little over a week after I parked the truck. When I went back to fire the beast up, it wouldn't turn over, but that heater was still blowing... I was a little upset with myself.
On the bed, it was a dropside. All I did was pop out the pins that held on the sides and removed them and then cut down the flat part of the bed. Eventually I will get around to cutting down the actual bed sides and get them mounted, but only when it warms up a little. Hope that kind of clears...
14.00 WILL fit on stock rims. I have one mounted as a spare for my truck. It has been used on the road and works just fine. I didn't mount all of mine on stock rims because I don't really like the way it looks and the split rims just make me kinda nervous.
I greatly appreciate the advice you have given I will look into those things much more closely. The only reason the pressure was dropped to 95 was so I could see if it ended up climbing higher (via the pressure gauge) due to the regulator malfunctioning again. As it was at 120 psi, if it climbed...
I understand what you are saying, but my brake problems have been resolved now that my air pressure has been regulated. The problem lies in how it is being regulated. Instead of kicking open and closed like it should when the air line pressure drops, the regulator just blows off the excess air...
I have been struggling to diagnose my brake issues since the Oklahoma get together in October. My brakes would slowly seize up the longer my truck was running. I have bled brakes, checked the drums, all that jazz. All of it was fine. I think I have finally figured out what the problem is, but I...
These are the military Goodyears, they have sidewalls that are at least an inch thick, but sidewalls are always a vulnerable part of the tire, but with the weight of a bobbed deuce, I don't think it'd be a big issue. I'd be more worried knocking the tire off the bead before puncturing the...
It is my truck. It is a simple bob job. It has Goodyear 14.00R20s with standard suspension. No rubbing, but it does get kind of close to the exhaust at full turn, but I've never experienced any rubbing.
Not that it's totally relevant, but here in OK i got hassled for my bumper height. And it is just a couple inches over stock, due to larger tires. In Oklahoma there is no bumper height law, so he couldn't write me up, but that didn't stop him from making me sit in his car while he thumbed...
I should have called I suppose. They siezed up while I was driving. I can't really seem to trace the problem. The brake pedal gets as hard as a rock and the thing won't budge, and draining the air from the system doesn't fix it, but it usually returns to normal within a few hours. Any ideas?
Sorry I didn't make it, guys. Truck broke down in Eakly. I'll be heading back down there tomorrow to pick it up, seems likes an issue with the brakes. Looks like a lot of fun was had, I'm sorry I missed it.
I don't really know if this is the appropiate place, but I figure I'll be seeing you guys there, so I'd ask. I would really like to swap turbos on my truck. I have a D-turbo and would like to possibly trade for a C-turbo. Would any of you guys happen to be interested in such a trade?
Hey guys, count me in on this deal. I don't think I really have much to work on, but it'd be good to just meet you all and hang around for a while. So yeah, I'll be there.
I snapped a few photos.
When I was cutting down the bed I looked for a way to do it that would be easiest for me with the tools that I had. If you look at the construction of the bed there are sections where the only thing holding the bed together are the main frame that rests on the truck and...
I have a couple, but I have not painted the bed yet, so I will shoot a couple pics of the welds so you can get an idea of what I did. It wasn't all that hard really. I used a Sawzall to cut it up. It left a real nice, straight, clean cut.
I'll try to get pictures up for you in the next couple...
I was wondering if I could get a little bit of clarification. These are 2 piece wheels. Are they setup to be a double beadlock style wheel with the plastic insert, or are they just a two piece wheel with no bead lock? Sorry if this is an ignorant question.
Either way, they do look really nice.
Thank you 2Deuces. I'm on the lookout for a nice redneck girl, so maybe the truck can be my wingman. That's a real nice setup you have there. I really like that motorcycle; I've always wanted an old bike, but gosh, they cost more than a deuce!
