Yes you should drain it every so often and let the water out of it. If a lot of water comes out, then do it more frequently. If not then less frequently. Don't run the engine while doing this.
On the topic of preparing for paint, my truck has had bedliner applied to the back of the lower cab. If you have any advice on how to remove this easily please let me know. I don't really want to paint over it because of the texture, but if I have to I guess I will. Anyone with some ideas in...
I agree with you about these old trucks having souls. It is much more enjoyable to get in one of these trucks and get to work with it. I enjoy using these older rigs more than newer ones that have many more comfort features. With the bare bones of these trucks you can depend on them to run all...
I haven't posted pictures of mine yet. I'm not that great with technology and just haven't got around to figuring it out yet. I'm sure yours will look just like it did on delivery. I use mine in such conditions that I just want a good fresh paint job that will look decent for a while longer. The...
Thanks for your review. I appreciate the opinions of someone who has experience with the tires. I don't want to have to buy a set and then not like them and get another set. This is the info I'm looking for.
Thanks. I would appreciate that. I'm considering doing that just to add a little more flow and filtration to my truck since the tank on it isn't in the best shape.
I'm also in the market for a front winch to go on a 800 series if I can find one semi locally to me that is affordable. I have a few other things to do to it first on my list, but if someone has one for sale around mississippi or fairly close by please let me know. I don't have to have the pto...
Are you going to use yours as a working vehicle or just parades/shows and fun? Seems like you wanted a oem finish on yours from the looks of it. I'd love to see a picture or two when it's done.
Looks great. I'm considering a paint job on mine and was wondering where you got the paint at? Online or at a local place? Not trying to be nosy just hunting a good place to get it at. Thanks.
That's exactly right! It's cheaper to go through a pack of filters than to go through a pump. I hope that after I cleaned what I could out of it this filter change will last a little longer. Then I'll change it again sooner than normal just to be sure. I got a 6pack of filters for $65. Very...
I'm considering putting a flatbed on my M814. I was wondering if any of you have done this, if so I would love to see a picture of it. I think it would be more functional since the 20'cargo beds don't have fold down sides , but I don't want to do it if it makes the truck look all funny since...
I just got my filters that I ordered today. Put the new one on and it fit good, runs good, back to normal. I wanted to say thanks to TechnoWeenie for suggesting that filter.(#bf7587) I thank you for researching and finding that it was compatible to my filter base. Also thanks to all others for...
