what is he going to do with the engine/ tranny and the mounts that hold the engine in the duece? i would love to put a worked over rb engine in a duece. if i could get the engine and tranny mounts from him that would be great.
i thought i would post some pics of my new brush guard/zombie catcher. i still need to finish gringing all the welds and then sand and paint. and it makes a nice place to stand on or strap things to.
oh and i should add that i was welding on the truck today and i did not unhook that batteries. i'm not sure what that could damage on a non computerized car except the batteries or generator. but if you have any ideas throw them out there.
ok all, i was on a nice little drive today and about 20 mins into it my duece starts surging. it didn't matter what gear or what rpm the engine just keeps surging. so i pulled over and let her cool down and shut her off. i let her set for about 15 mins, started her up and headed home. the...
yeah, i'm a mopar guy myself. my brother only put that on there cause he didn't like the old power wagon emblem i have for the front edge of the hood, or the big brush guard i have to put on it. i will post more pics when they are installed.
for all you guys looking for a cheap egt guage my buddy got one off of ebay and it works great. i just ordered one, the looks don't really fit in a deuce and it reads in celcius. but its a great price. the auction number is 260559657825
yes, the drivers seat was a little higher at first. so i used a oxy/acetylene torch to heat up the bottom 2-3 coils of the spring. i had my brother sit in the seat while did the heating, it lowered the seat about 4 inches. and it still has plenty of travel to take care of the bumps in the road.
sorry about the bad pic, when it waqrms up i will put the windshield down and take the top of to get some better pics. but anyway the drivers seat is the drivers seat out of a 2001 dodge dakota quad cab. and the passanger seat is the 60% seat from the 60/40 rear bench out of the same dakota...
thanks jatonka,
i should have posted that i did find out what it was useing google. and yes i have the huge blue prints, but they are really smudged and hard to read. but i have the kit installed now, it works great. and i did leave the adjustable regulator out of the system.
ok so this might be really stupid question. but what is the aluminum part that looks like it is a fixed position regulator? it gets mounted at the junction on the fire wall.
ok so this might be a dumb question. but all this talk of red dye in your fuel, you know the non taxed fuel, well what would happen to me, i just topped off my 3/4 full tank of on road taxed fuel with about 12 gallons of used tranny fluid. now it looks like non taxed heating oil. what kind of...
yes the old window was kinda cocked forward. it rolled up and down just fine, but the back was higher than the front when rolled up. but it is all fine now.
so i got a new window for my deuce as the drivers side door window was broken. so as i removed the old one i notice that only one of the scissor ends has a clip on it holding them to the window. well as i was removing the one clip i break it, so i went to the local parts house and bought a bag...
so, just an update. i did get a 1970 m35a2, with a good PA title. it runs great, and everything works as it should. i have replaced the seats with some nice leather take outs from a 2001 dakota. i have started doing some rust repair and plan on painting it marine green, but that may change. i...
