Aint that right, and its not just insurance, seems like everything I do has more to do with the luck of who answers the phone then it does with anything else. Just the other day I called to have Charter cable internet ran to my bunker location and the representative on the phone said they do not...
I finally got my insurance card!!!!!
I got it on the 3rd so I was able to drive around for the 4th!
Thanks to all the help and the tip about Gulfway was great, they were amazing, took care of me fast and easy and even apologized that it was taking so long. Took about 6 business days to get it...
I contacted Gulfway last Friday, received a form in my email almost immediately. I filled it out, scanned it and emailed it back Friday night. They emailed me the following Wednesday and apologized that it was taking so long but they were dealing with hurricane Debbie. They then quoted me $190 a...
Nope, I got 3 houses, 1 truck and half my business uninsured right now, all my other policies are up for renewal in a week. Apparently the agents around here have too much business and don't want or need mine. If it takes more than 9 weeks to get quotes and policies then I can only imagine what...
I got a whole lot more insurance needs than just the army truck and I only contacted this new guy last Friday, he says he has got all of my other insurance figured out and sent the paperwork in for the army truck yesterday, he says its a done deal, IF he can't get it completely done real soon...
Uh, yea, thats exactly the point I was making, none of them have a "VIN" and I aint the first guy to buy one, especially in this area since they sale 5 to 10 a week here, so why are these agents so clueless!
Right now I am giving one more agent the chance to earn my total insurance business...
Oh yea, another problem the agents have is it has no VIN number, the ID number on the data plate does not "fit" into the computers idea of what a VIN number is supposed to be so it kicks it out. The weight and number of axles and lack of VIN is why most agents wont even try.
According to the agent the theft issue is not about the value of the vehicle, its about the amount of liability damage that could be done by the thief with that large of a vehicle. This is also why she says no insurance company will touch it. This agent says that if the truck is stolen out of my...
JC Taylor gave me a great quote too, $75 a year for full coverage, then it changed to $80 a year, the agent had to mail in all the forms since they do not accept faxes, around 2 weeks later they mailed the forms along with a check back to me and said it had to be kept in a locked garage and it...
Oh and the Farmers agent who has been trying the hardest to find me insurance says that anyone who says they have one of those things insured with State Farm or Allstate or Progressive or Geico is a liar, her words not mine. I told her about the threads and info here and she said there is no way...
Apparently there is a big difference between a duece and a 5 ton when it comes to insurance. I have contacted and begged and pleaded with State Farm, Allstate, Geico, Progressive, Farmers, and a few other independent agents. All of them flat refuse to insure a M925. BTW I have a perfect driving...
I have been trying to get liability insurance for my new 5 ton M925 for over 8 weeks now. Apparently no insurance agent in the Huntsville area has any experience with military vehicles. Most just say no they can't do it immediately, the few that say they can do it mess with me for a few weeks...
I got one for my M925 a few weeks ago, it looks like and Arizona title and looks to have the right ID number and mileage on it. It does not have any info about the auction or the price on it.
Found and fixed the problem, turns out it was stripped gear teeth inside the T-case. I paid a local mechanic to remove and disassemble the transfer case and he found the teeth stripped on the high low shifter gear thingy pictured below. He flipped the assembly over and cleaned up the edge of the...
To “fix” the dog bone problem I welded a 13” long piece of 1” angle iron across the center joints and welded 6” pieces across the single end joints. The hardest part of it all was removing the rubber that covered the ball joints. Some of them had like 1/4” thick rubber over the ball and others...
Well I sold the dump truck yesterday, and BTW, the nice fellow who came and got it loaded it on a goose neck trailer like mine and pulled it about 80 miles home with a Chevy dually.
So now all I have to worry about is getting my 925 to go into high range then fix all the other small issues with it.
I am now certain the problem must be internal. I have bleed the air off and it did shift much easier, I also put batts in it and now the button works and it shifts fairly easy. It feels like it is shifting through the 3 different positions as it should however when all the way down in high it...
I spent the day working on my new M925 and found even more problems;
I install 2 new 1,000 cca batteries and when I tried to hook up the last wire it arced bad. Noticed a clicking noise and traced it to what appears to be an automatic reset overload device mounted on the engine side of the...
I installed the 2 new 1,000 cca batteries just like the ones in My Ford Powerstroke today and she now starts better than my pickup truck. It spins over very fast and she starts in less than a second.
I did notice some sparking when I hooked up the cables so I'm wondering if its going to drain...
