I have had maybe 2 dozen 4x4s and have driven offroad very extensively extreme. I have never stripped a hub before or heard of stripping one. Is this a common occurance?
I'll give this a try. I meant that I had packed my wheel bearings. I really do have a hard time remembering these things I used to do for a regular hobby. Sorry everyone.
Did your hubs lock in easily prior to? Mine are very easy locking. I have greased both hubs. You cleaned out your axle also? I have not done this.
Thanks for the help.

Well I suppose I need help with my truck. I have an 86 CUCV 1008 that will not actuate the 4X4 after it has been locked in and shifted. I suppose there is a vacuum line maybe or electrical relay. I have suffered 2 head injuries and I simply do not know what I used to know. I am certain this...

The truck arrived at my home the Saturday before the Monday morning I had to leave back to Afghanistan also, which made it double hard for me, but being with his lawyer son I assume they were working some scheme around this. His son actually did some of the conversing with me.
With ebay's strict disclosure policies, I did not give it much thought, coupled with the fabulous pictures the seller provided...Definitely not the same truck that arrived at my house! Could not even be mistaken for it in a drunken stupor, which I also tried!
Correct, it should have been, but I was overseas, so I had him send the invoice to my wife, as ebay suspends my account because they notice "suspicious IP addresses to purchases from out of country (4 times) and then it takes forever to have that clarified. Needless to say, there is no feedback...
I actually bought one on these trucks from this J**kA**... He had a very clean, exceptionally so, listed, but it sold.. so I had inquired and he said he had just listed another one and posted pictures....So, I looked it up and there and behold, was a most prestine truck....I sent an offline...
