Roof rack - Looking to fabricate a mount that will go between the fiberglass top and the bed rails. It will allow the top to slide off well leaving the bracket bolted to the sides. That way I can mount a Safari rack on the frame and still be able to go topless.

It is actually at the mechanics right now, what I meant was is there any normal repair or something that should be changed out due to its ability not its mechanically operational status.
The bottom side of the vehicle is very clean as well, no rust on any floor pans underneath or leaf springs.

I just recently purchased a 1984 M1009 it looks to be in really good shape. According to the speedometer it has just under 11,312 mile on it.
There is a couple issues with it but so far I have had no issues with it starting or driving it. I had a 180 mile commute home from where I picked it up.
