No labels on anything, but I did get the wires all routed and installed an I fired it up-no smoke, no fire, and it was charging-so I would say so far so good! Thank you sir!
I might have to change the front bolt for the adjustment bracket to a different style head as the bolt I used appears it...
Hey thanks so much for the information, it's helped a TON.
Yes, I think the kit was scabbed together as I've gone to the hardware store more times then I can count. The instructions that I had got with it are for a 200 amp dual voltage, I only have a single voltage output (look at my pics in...

Hello everyone, so I could use some help with getting the wiring figured out on my alternator replacement.
I originally purchased the replacement alternator and kit some years ago and had it in storage until now when the old 60amp has had enough. The box looked like it...
A friend of mine has been using them for years and has gotten several others to use them as well-including me. His family owns a heavy equipment business an they see a large volume of tires in various sizes and brands an they have nothing but good things to say about them. I have been very happy...
There really isn't a way to speed things up with the Government. Just make sure you fill out all the info correctly as mistakes can slow up the process. Then check on the status every 2-3 weeks or so. From the day I won the bid till the day I picked it up on base the whole process took 16 weeks.
Block the front wheels, put the T Case an tranny in neutral, jack the rear end up an try spinning the rear wheels by hand or have someone spin a wheel by hand to see if you can get any noise out of it that way an pinpoint it. These **** things make so much noise running an driving it can be hard...
Just finished a few things.
-Had injectors cleaned, tested, rebuilt as needed
-Pulled Y pipe off an had an exhaust shop bend an flare a new piece of pipe on the driver's side that bolts to the manifold as the old flange rusted off
-Replaced cold advance solenoid
-New prefilter for air intake...
Just thought I would post this as an FYI for those not as familiar with the cold advance solenoid replacement (like me). If you plan on replacing it you might want to get any seals/gaskets/etc., in advance for the top of the pump cover as they are most likely going to be crusty-especially since...
If you have a local rebuild shop I would get a quote to see how much it will cost for them to rebuild it but if I had to guess it will end up being probably half the cost of one that is ready to bolt in in-depending on what they do about the shaft. If it was me I would consider something like...
In theory that would make sense and a person would think that unless there is a mistake somewhere on their part with the weights listed/part number/etc.-not sure I guess? The right front shaft is a lot longer-about 2.5" longer when compared to the rear shaft so I don't think a person could even...
I got the same one at work. I put all 4 of the longer lift pads up in a \ / shape an it raises it really nice. Now a Ford Ranger or a long box dually crew cab diesel is a different story!
