Interco makes 41x14.50-R18 tires
So that's probably the closest size on the US market. They'd be 1.5" wider but would be only 1" smaller in diameter.
The closest I could find that matched the same width was 38X13.50R18. yokohama and Toyo make them in those sizes, Toyo seems to be the best...
Hi, I know this post is old but I did kinda find a tire that worked after a lot of digging and discussions on off-road forums.
Although, one of my friends and I are going to try and import a bunch of tires if you're interested.
mine is exactly like yours actually, cut the same way and same roof.
I think I figured it out actually, I was looking at the C pillar sections wrong, looks like I can just unbolt them, put in the C pillar bar and bolt them back in
I have a HMMWV with a truck body and hard top that originally had a turret installed, de-milled as usual where they cut the C-Pillar out. I have a new C-pillar with the turret support but I have no idea how it's supposed to go in. Looks like I'll probably have to remove the roof and the side...
I successfully moved my HMMWV with a uhaul trailer and truck from gov panet to my place, a guy at the place was like "the uhaul insurance wont cover the trailer if it's damaged".
Fortunately I had no problems
I told my buddy about how well it went and he decided he wanted to move his HMMWV over...
Took a while but she's here now,
2003 6.5L 4 speed.
Made a video on what it took to get her back up and running!
Now to re-militarize her, have a good chunk of work to do still, mainly needs new glow plugs, and figured I'd change the fluids in the gear hubs, diffs and transmission as well.
It's good to know the trailers can handle them for those kinds of distances haha.
How many of those parts are brand new or did you just clean it real good? That radiator looks too perfect to be a surplus one! haha
Damn that's quite the trek with a Uhaul trailer!
I noticed if I drove faster than 55mph the trailer would start to weave a bit, but keeping it under 55 it was fine, still felt like a long drive for me and it was only 170 miles, I was checking behind me constantly making sure the hmmwv was...
Veritread prices were crazy, I'm only 170 miles from Albany and the prices were in the thousands. I picked it up myself with a U-Haul and a U-Haul trailer for under $400 with the U-Haul insurance.
Finally got the power steering fixed and yes, drove it around on the roads and took it to some events, one at the Guardian Centers in Georgia where they've done filming for movies like the Fate of the Furious. I'll need to edit and upload some footage from that event.
Have a video here I posted...
Was really busy and forgot to post an update here. Thanks to forum members here I now own an OT-64 and I've already gotten around to getting things working the way we need it for events.
I replaced the main canon with a fake one that I rigged up to shoot blanks, works pretty good. I gotta...
Hi all, I have been looking for and trying to find an eastern European APC here in the US for some time now, but it's pretty hard it seems to find anything. Is there somewhere better to look for vehicles? I was keeping an eye on milweb listings and when one did pop up (OT-90) it was already...
