    Return Line Fittings

Be sure to either re-use the old ferrules or purchase new ones...if not, when the compression fittings are tightened, they will compress the nylon/flex tubing and allow leakage. The ferrules allow the line to be compressed against them to seal against leaks. I got all of mine (ferrules, line...

    Successful Deuce Recovery

FINALLY finished installing my custom receiver hitch! I bolted it in place using 10 (5 per side) Grade-8 1/2-inch bolts, with large plate washers inside the frame to help distribute the load. I removed both pairs of rivets holding the rear crossmember bottom to each frame rail, and drilled...

    Successful Deuce Recovery

Been working on lots of little things lately; mainly rewiring things that need it. I finally finished my electric wipers conversion. I couldn't afford the prices of the very few A3 electric wiper assemblies that I found available, and I didn't have the time to spend fabricating a replica of an...

    Electric Wipers for the Deuce

Thanks! They do work far better than the old air wipers I had. I have a 24V fuse block I need to install; Wire #27 works for now, but you've got the smarter way to do it & I just need to find the time to do the same on mine.

    Electric Wipers for the Deuce

I think I have around $150 total; that includes both motors, wires, both wipers, clamps, screws, etc... These motors only use 1 screw to secure them; they work quite well so far. Thanks for all the kind words!

    Electric Wipers for the Deuce

The wiper blades are ANCO 31-13 blades, they actually do work quite well...last week we had some steady rain and I had no problems with these wipers. I'm happy with how they work.

    Electric Wipers for the Deuce

I hope this helps, as during my electric wipers conversion I had to use a lot of "artistic license," so to speak, for various reasons. I couldn't afford the prices of the very few A3 electric wiper assemblies that I found available, and I didn't have the time to spend fabricating a replica of...

    m35a2 fuel delivery problem?

What Tom said. Plus it does help going through the Troubleshooting TMs...those are a good way to really understand the workings of your truck and learn a lot more about it. The troubleshooting TMs are very helpful and simple to follow. I highly recommend starting with a troubleshooting TM.

    Auction Deuce Recovery Assist

THANK YOU. I'll let him know & I'll install it this week for him. I didn't have access to any TMs and he was anxious to get it running; the old fuse was so worn that we couldn't even read any of the markings on it. Thanks for the heads-up!

    Auction Deuce Recovery Assist

Thank you! I am running 395/85R20s (46" tall), I am quite happy with them even though it makes the truck a bit slower. But it pulled like a sonofagun, it seemed a lot happier with a load behind it than it does without! Thanks for the well wishes, I wish you the best in the New Year as well!

    Auction Deuce Recovery Assist

Thanks! I recommended that he drain the tank & clean out all the rust; it's pretty crusty. But it's his truck, and he deals with old fuel tanks all the time on his hot-rod builds (30s & 40s cars are his bread & butter), so he knows it needs to be done. He'll probably ask me to do it...no...

    Auction Deuce Recovery Assist

Since both of our pickups are down for repairs and unable to tow one of our heavy trailers, we decided to use my Deuce & towbar to bring this Deuce to its new home at my buddy's shop (in the Industrial Park next to the LV Motor Speedway). Of course we forgot to bring a basic tool set, so we...

    Auction Deuce Recovery Assist

A friend of mine who owns a custom & hot-rod fab shop has been wanting to buy a Deuce for over a year now, and he finally got his wish. He was the winning bidder for a 1972 AM-General M35A2 with winch & hardtop, and the auction included an M103 trailer; his final cost after 3% buyer's fees was...

    RV Hauler

There are all kinds of Chevy/GMC Kodiak & Topkick 4x4 trucks available, some with the Duramax diesel engine and Allison auto tranny. 5500/6500 trucks, seem to be what you're looking for, with 10-hole hub-piloted wheels. I've seen them with dual rear wheels as well as Super Singles.

    My M135 Quad cab

WOW that truck is beautiful! Nice work!! Certainly better to see it as a well-cared-for crew cab than rusting away in a field somewhere. Good job!
