Ive also had the same issue maneuvering at low speed, when rocking the truck back and forth to steer in a tight space. Turns out it was the old sprag transfer case binding up and it would kick me outta gear so damn hard. I ended up pulling the front driveline and stopped having issues.
When I first picked up my truck back in Dec. 2014 I didn't have any brake problems. Forward to May of this last year and my drivers rear hub would lock up and not release. I bled the wheel cylinder which had pressure and it released. No other wheels demonstrated pressure while stopped with the...
After a long time of the passenger speak through door on my box rattling around and boucing back and forth from a lost lever to close it, I found it buried behind the drivers box seat in the little cubby holes with the door frames. It was a very happy day after several rain storms had utilized...
The truck I picked up is listed as a M109A3 with an LD 465,
My truck had the round style front and rear lights, which I replaced with the newer style for visibility but it seems something about the configuration in the passenger rear is shorting out and burning bulbs/the flasher unit.

Hey, that all seems familiar! Except my axle didn't do me a favor of impeding my mobility before frying the front bearings and dropping the wheel and hub :P
When in doubt its best to tear down and thoroughly inspect. Without a doubt, it still doesn't hurt anything to inspect.

Thank you all for your input, my reasoning for posting this was to make everyone think again about maintnence. I had done all four rear bearings repaced and clean and noted they looked great, grease was good and all aside from one that was contaminated with axle oil. I had inspected my fronts...
Not sure what went wrong, lost both spindle nuts and destroyed the bearings. Drove my M109 from California City to Reno in a day, about 375 miles total I believe.
I had started to notice an odd vibration at around 35mph, I think it was specifically at 1800 RPM in fourth gear I would feel it...
I did all of my coolant hoses;
Pulled radiator out, cleaned it thoroughly
Removed thermostat and replaced all hoses & thermostat
Replaced all three belts while the radiator was out
Deleted Flame Heater while removing the upper water pathways
Pulled the J pipe that goes to the oil cooler and...
I wanted to give a big shout out on here to LowTech. I started in September with no idea what I wanted to do, just that I loved my Rough Road truck and sleeping in it was a little uncomfortable but doable. Upon speaking with him at an event, LowTech mentioned being able to set me up with someone...
My name is Stykz, I have been wanting a rig for awhile and decided to plunge in when LowTech offered his assistance in helping me recover one. This last weekend I joined your ranks and purchased a 1968(?) USMC M109A3.
