It's more of a project than I can handle right now. The frame is pretty solid, but the body is thin in spots. It also smokes pretty bad. I'll just keep looking.
I found this on craigslist, the owner says its a 41 MB and is asking $1700. It runs and drives, but is missing all brake parts from the pedal linkage to the brake lines...
Thanks for all of the replies, I got laid-off from my job and have been struggling to make ends meet lately. When I start to get some disposable income again:grin: the MUTT will be my first purchase. It isn't going anywhere and is hid quite well! I will post pics as soon as I bring it home.
Sounds like a deal then, thanks. I have some friends that have a few MUTTs and they told me the that even if I run out of steam on the project I would probably be able to sell it easily. Not that I plan on selling it but you know how these things can turn out sometimes.
I found an old M151A2 that has been sitting for 2 years, and won't start. The owner says he was having carb. trouble so he took the carb. off and never got around to putting it back on! The body is a little rough but it only has minor surface rust, no cancer. I couldn't get the motor to turn...
Thanks, I guess Palestine really isn't in our area, I just went out that way for work. I was really shocked to see it there though, he looked like he was clearing some land right off of the highway, I wish I could have gotten a closer look. It seemed to be a pretty clean truck from what I saw.
Thanks for the welcomes, I have been reading the board off and on for a few years but I am really getting serious about owning one now. It will be Summer before I can buy though. I would just like to check one out in person and see what they are like up close.
Thanks
I was driving through Palestine about a month ago and saw a bob off of the highway, I was on a tight schedule so I couldn't stop. I was wondering if the owner was a member here. If not are there any other bobbed trucks near College Station?
Thanks
