    Just get yourself a cheap siphon and siphon it out through the dipstick. I've done this before when I didn't want to drop the pan for a couple quarts.

    Yeah I didnt really want to deal with the hydro, that stuff is just nasty. The turbine oil on the other hand should be quite nice I think.

    Yeah I think I'll start collecting the stuff and filtering, from what I read (royco 500) is that its pretty much synthetic mineral oil...very clean too.

    I have access to a large supply of synthetic turbine oil, very clean. How do you think this would burn? It is quite thin, I think its pretty close to mineral oil...I want to get a deuce just to go off the grid, I'm not scared to daily drive one, if I can daily drive a head / cam six speed...

    You can use it on diesels, you leave the diesel idle injection to pop it off and hook up a throttle valve to control the incoming wood gas for acceleration.

    Yeah, your 5 ton weighs what 21000 lbs? So as long as theres a bottom (rock or pavement) you'll squeeze right through the snow, but I'm not an expert on 5 tons, just my opinion. But generally I think the 5 ton is more capable offroad than the deuces, as long as theres no place for them to sink...

    In theory it should help your highway mileage but it never works like that. Coming from the Cumminsforum where you can run 38's stock w/o a lift they bring your mileage down a lot. I suppose in theory if you were on the highway but still they do raise your truck a few inches and thats what...
