I want to install reliable, safe heat in the rear of my M109. I do not want to use wood stoves or electric heaters.
Does anyone know of a reliable vented propane or diesel heater? I am told RV companies sell these.
If you have the new style push button light switch, start your search there. I had one that went bad and drained batteries. These switches are poorly designed and have flimsy electrical contacts.
You'll need to attempt to isolate the problem by disconnecting every suspect source of your...
Three exceptional GL employees!
John MacGhee from Warner Robbins, HA
John Ecthison from Rock Island, IL.
Andrew from Wright Patterson, OH.
All of them went the extra mile and helped with scheduling ( and sometimes rescheduling) pick ups. I'm sending a note to the Pres of GL to recognize these...
Try calling Ted at Mercury. He arranged several loads for me. He's a broker and a trucker. He's at 570-562-4041. For hot shot loads, call Dave Sivesind at 507-378-8438.
Chester did me solid a fews weeks ago for a 5 ton expansible truck. He called his crew in on Dec 23 in the late afternoon to load it.
This man has a nice, "will try to help you" attitude and he enjoys his job.
Thanks, Chester!
I recommend using uship.com for reasonable shipping services. I used this service several times with good results. Yes, you need to check out the drivers/companies that bid your load, but the rates are worth it.
I just got a quote from a trucker known to this forum -- I will not mention who--...
I need 4 deuces from Warner Robbins GA moved. Two to Scranton, PA and two to Newburgh NY. I also need a semi-trailer from Fort Drum to Scranton. Then a M820 from TX to Scranton and 4 more loads.
Yes, that was the one. But the GL pics lacked a lot of detail especially regarding what the rear looked like. Those units often got the AC and heating taken out of them and buyers got screwed when they picked them up. Also, there were no engine photos or cab photos.
As a rule, everything that...
That one went for an eye popping $11,500! Must have been some collector who had to have it.
I own 3 of these for storage and can tell you they are really, really slow. Even the manual has the top speed listed at a very optimistic 52MPH when some of the other 5 tons show 60.
My experience with USAA has be abysmal. One of their insureds totalled my car, and they acted very unethically in handling the claim, even by New York City standards. The claims manager is a woman named Susanne Martinez- Morris and she's out of their San Antonio HQ. Be forewarned about USAA...
