Hi guys. I've had this problem going on for a while now. I hope someone can point me in the right direction. One day my truck started dying when I would let off the throttle. It ran fine going down the road, and then it got to where it wouldn't idle. I changed the fuel and filters, and there was...
I dropped a washer for the bolt that attaches the valve train. I looked for a couple of hours, but it's no where to be found. Can I just go down to tractor supply and get another one this size,or is there something special about this one? If all I can find is a zinc plated one at home depot is...
I used a nut very similar to that on the wheel adapters I bought, but they were a tad bit bigger [emoji16]. These nuts spin freely. I'm not sure if that's the way they are supposed to be or not.

Also..... When I was putting in the valve train bolts I dropped a washer. It didn't go into the motor, but I can't find it. Where can I buy one of these?

In the tm when adjusting the valve lash it refers to a locknut. I'm used to seeing nylon lock nuts, but these are just regular nuts. Should these be the nylon locknut I'm used to seeing, or is it just a regular nut that tightens against the valve train?
They are all backed off the valve train...
I've been removing, or attempting to remove, my heads. The nuts on the driver side are the ones in question that are the hardest to get to. I am using the wrench that is known for breaking, and I've been able to remove five of the six nuts. The one closest to the radiator is the one giving me...
I pulled my pushrods out tonight, and on a couple of them it felt like the tappet stuck to it as I was pulling and it made a rattling sound. On one of them it didn't feel like the pushrod wanted to fall back into place. Is it possible / likely that the tappet came out of its hole and...
My first impressions are that steering takes a lot more effort. The ride on a semi smooth highway is fine, but when things get bumpy it gets really bouncy. It's not as harsh of a bump, but it sure feels a lot bigger. I also notice it tends to wander when the highway gets rutted. I don't regret...
Thanks for your help. That makes perfect sense, but it just looks like that wheel ought to slide right off. Obviously it didn't. [emoji16]

The square drive is still there, but I thought it looked like the wheel should slide right off. It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong.
