I have a LMTV cover on mine... problems are.. it was made for a 14' dump body... so it is too long and the front is not right... and yes.. it ends up low on the sides...
But... I have found a truck tarp guy that will cut it and put a front on it for about $150... which I will do when I get an...
OK... so looking at the Army data... if you run into water with hot axles... the rapid cooling causes a pressure drop inside the axle... which sucks water in past the seals... why not just hose / tube the axle vents up to the top of the firewall????

I have found that nothing intimidates the true idiot drivers out there.... When going down the freeway at 'convoy' speed, I often have some dolt in a ityy bitty asian POS car step on it to get in front of me right before an exit so he can pull in as close to the Deuce's front bumper as possible...
My Deuce front tires start to wobble badly at about 45 mph... then it smoothes back out at about 50 mph... the steering wheel pulls from side to side and the whole front end of the truck shakes... I have about 4 inches play in the steering wheel from the steering box which I will adjust out...
Any ideas for securing the tools on the rack against theft? I think it is more likely that someone would steal the tools than try to make a high speed get-away in my Deuce....

They are VERY noisy, very BIG, get awful mileage and are the coolest thing on the road... love mine!
Does anyone have the full text of the mil spec for GAA? It will spell out exactly what it is made of... Then I can (hopefully) get the major grease manufacturers to say what is equal and what is or is not compatible....
