they not bad for the money.. there are in fact MUCH better lifts out there.. i have rough country on my m1008 and in the summer im going with BDS springs for a softer ride and more articulation!. if ur going for looks alone then rough country is your ticket.2cents
ok i cleaned out that valve and i took it for a ride but still runs out of fuel. today it acually did stall and wouldnt start for about 2 minutes and i had to hold my throttle down for it to get running again
it will start idle and rev fine but after i go about 1/2 mile down the road it starts loosing power and wants to die. then il pull over let it idle for about 2-3 minutes and it will go for another 1/2 mile and do the same thing.
i put a new fuel tank and sending unit in my 1008 lastnight and it starts, idles, and revs perfect, but when i drive it it feels like its holding back or starving for fuel:drool:.
Then it will not even want to run and trys to stall untill i let off the throttle, my lines look ok and i changed...
ive never seen them used in anything other than a steer axle.. on jeeps tho. im curious to how well they hold up.. not that im putting down huge power :-D
cucv's are nowhere near fast.. m1008's go about 50-55mph m1009's ~65mph.. in stock form they ride like dump trucks off road. they have 155hp and i beleive 240 ft lbs of tq.. mileage is not that much of and issue its mainly about condition of everything else.. let me know if u want to know more...
u should be able to take the spacers that are under the trans x-member and put them unbetween the frame and x-member.. free transfer case lowering kit!:grd:
i havent broken a spring yet but i only had the truck in the woods 4 times but my bottom leaf (shortest one) is twisted sideways a bit already. Are those bds springs better than tuff country in terms of articulation? thanks, Adam.
i have a 4" lift on my m1008, but when i ordered it i got the 3/4 ton front springs and now i wish i had bought the 1/2 ton springs because this thing can get pretty wild in the woods. But my question is will the 1/2 ton front springs work well with the 6.2? Im lookin into buying the tuff...
alright good, one more question.. will i need the lowered pitman arm? or will it work "for now" untill i feel like wasting $130 for a lowered unit? Thanks Again.[thumbzup]
Hi guys, i bought a 4" rough country lift (rear blocks) lift for my m1009 but i found a great deal on a m1008 and i was wondering if the shocks and front leafs would be the same as the blazer? I plan on buying rear springs so it can flex more but i need to know if that stuff will work first...
