    Mep 803a overload question

Dock Rocker, you are correct. I meant to say Hertz. Jamawieb, great input. I'll adjust my load bank and run at 100% for several hours and burn out any carbon. No noticeable went stacking evident externally. Then I'll measure it's overload cut out threshold accurately. Thank you guys.

    MEP 802A injection pump

Sorry, did not mean actual replacement. The pump IS quite simple, and with only 14 hours on the genny, I believe that things should go well here. Pump is free moving now. Give me a day or two and I'll let you know if it is up and running.

    Mep 802a starting issue

If I bled the lines at the pumps, do I also need to crack the lines at the injectors?

    Mep 802a starting issue

Picked up two units of similiar age and hours. Both pretty clean. Unit one started right up after basic prep (filters and fluids). Unit two cranks fine, but exhaust output seems very clean ( no fuel smell ). That's what is making me wonder.Even though fuel return line is flowing, can that mean...

    Mep 802a starting issue

Hi Guyfang, I read your posts often. Solinoid moves. Am assuming S1 is in working order as it kills everything when pushed in and all appears to function when pulled out.

    blown fuse

Understood. And thanks. By the way, pulling the plug on the "water in fuel solenoid" was my starting point in possibly isolating the problem. I isolated something.

    blown fuse

M1008 fuse #17 blowing Hey folks, posted before about this problem. Had to leave for a week and just got back. The issue was fuse blowing when turning the key. I have a manual glow plug switch. Circuit works with the glow plugs, hence no cold starts. Looked at the engine compartment ignition...

    blown fuse

Fuse #17. Since it is intermittent failure, the suggestion of cleaning the fuse holder tabs and checking the tension of the holder sounds like good advice. I'll let you know. Always good to get a different view on things through the members here, Thank's guys.

    battery maintainers

Here is my question: Am going away for several weeks. M1008 parked under cover. Friend will start it and move it every one to two weeks. Have two maintainer/chargers. Do I really need to set them up? Starting to get cold here, just don't want him to have any issues while I am gone.
