I am looking for a upper door hinge mirror mounting bracket for 1941 GMC CCKW truck. If someone makes a reproduction of that bracket? Any advice appreciate it!
M931 oil cooler issues taken care of. While flushing coolant system for the third time I am waiting for it to heat up and looking around the engine. Low and behold, I notice the transmission oil line in contact with the exhaust manifold. WOW I think..that is not good.
I reach over and shift it...
Thanks everyone...she is back, up and running....flushed 3 times.....good to go. Added a touch of liquid dishwasher soap......cascade ....cleaned her right up....

Scrap guys are pretty dumb when it comes to vintage stuff like this.....the track is live with all kinds of rubber...makes it worthless to scrap. But on the other side....if the guy took some time to check it out, the track was worth at least 3 times what the first fool was willing to sell the...
My local Cummins dealer was very helpful. They dont stock these parts for the cooler but they had them for me in less than a day. Tomorrow the install....fingers crossed.....
Planning on flushing system with clean water to operating temp and drain.

M931 Oil in Water
Update...Yes...the cooler is now apart.....the o rings were hard and stiff.....so, gaskets, rings and crush rings on order. A note to all, the tubes in the cooler were full of rust fragments. Looks like iron scaling...small bits. There were larger pieces in the cooler...
Thanks Gentleman...someone told me that someone adding oil there was a real possibility. I will drain the oil and coolant tomorrow. IF there is coolant in the bottom of the pan I will be VERY surprised...as water in oil is pretty obvious...
Thanks again.....
Jon
M931, overhauled 08, 600 miles post overhaul. Runs great. Checking fluids today. Trans oil good, engine oil good, removed cap from recovery tank and I see oil. Drained tank and there is allot of oil there. Disconnect oil cooler hose and nice, clean antifreeze drains out.
I had idled the truck...
Make sure the control box connector has full contact.......clean and lubricate with silicone grease. Just had that problem myself.....no start, pulled plug and removed box...opened and took a look. Reinstalled box on firewall. As I was screwing plug back in place I felt solenoid click and heard...
OK Report. Got tired of tapping and flipping.. Unscrewed the connector. As I unscrewed it I heard the valves under the bed activate.....I stopped because I thought the power had been turned off......got into the cab and the gauges were activated, flipped starter and the started right up...
Only one speed......when switch is on. I opened the box to measure voltage.....24 volts is present on both sides of the lower solenoid when switch is on....the upper has only voltage on one side....thought about jumping over on it to see what happens. Am I correct that the upper one puts power...
batteries good.....grounds good..trans in neutral ..opened box.......lower solenoid actuating...no gauge fluctuation......go to switch to second switch.....nothing..no reaction from solenoid on top. Plug into box good, grounds good.
headlights work......when switched on.
what about jumping...
will do.....thanks......took parts off today, cleaned and lubricated, reassembled and topped off fluids......I was low in that regard.....worked like a champ...now......no start....wow.
Jon
worked her over today.....top off fluids, some air system work. Started and got to operating temp.....all good.....shut her off this afternoon...went to start it this eve and nothing...power relay clicks....nothing with starter switch.
