Has anyone ever put a set of civilian steel 17" wheels on? They are $100 each and would probably look decent with some CARC black on them. A set of those plus BFGoodrich ATs in 37 x 12.5 comes to about 2200 total.
Anyone have any experience downgrading a M1025A2 GMVs Rod Hall suspension back to lower rate? I belive the springs on it are 3000lbs per inch, I'm sure that was fine back when it had an extra 4000lbs of armor and weaponry. It's a 4 man soft top now and it might as well have no suspension at all...
Thanks for the replies. There is no part number in that location, it's a lower ball joint. I think it must be an uprated ball joint. This HMMWV was a GMV, probably something to do with it. The joint itself was fine, I just swapped the gator of the new joint and reinstalled it.
Hi all!
I'm replacing a lower ball joint on my M1025A2 and the one thats come is different to any parts I've found on the web. It has a double thickness plate. Anyone know if this is a heavy duty upgrade or similar? It has no part number on it. The holes are larger like the newer ball joints.
