I personally don't think it is that noisy, but I am a Drag racer/and off roader type who rides motorcycles.....sooooo it seem fine to me, I can tell you it is no Volvo (but I like that because I have a front driven axle now :razz:). I had thought about the shipping container idea, but not sure...
I've had it for awhile, but haven't taken the time to take any pictures of it. the plans are for it to be a toterhome with a 16-20 ft box and a liftgate. 16.00 20's are in it's future along with 4.88 gears. :driver:
If your serious my M920 is getting ready to be for sale it is a fully remanufactured truck from 2007 with 2,237 miles on it and climbimg ( I like driving it around town) . This is one of the cleanest M920's you will find out there. Soni knows the truck well and I am sure he will build it to...
Yes I think the problem you will find with a double ovedrive and 6.17's might be too fast of a driveshaft speed. It would be a good question to ask a good driveshaft shop about before just doing it.
The first mod on the original carrier would be a bigger winch...lol That one on there now might only be able to lift the spare off my dodge. It was real good at letting the spare down though:idea:
