This is the first 1078 I’ve worked on that has done this. Most of the other ones don’t even have the glad hand caps anymore. It’s leaking so bad that the tanks can’t even fill it’s almost like the compressor is sending air straight out the back
Did you ever find out the issue with your truck? I have a 1078 that leaks air out of the rear emergency glad hand constantly. I’ve replaced the trailer and parking brake valve inside the cab and still have the same problem. I’m not sure what it could be and I don’t want to order a bunch of parts...
Sorry for the late response, but in my opinion the JLTV could be a very useful piece of equipment if there wasn’t so much electrical problems with them. We haven’t received the engine harness for the truck mentioned above so I have no updates with that but so far every jltv my coworkers and I...
I’ve checked the fuel pressure at the rail it’s good, I also tried to use ether and it’ll run for about 3 seconds then shut down. I’m assuming it is a wiring issue and as much as I don’t want to I’m ordering a main engine wiring harness for it, once it comes in and I replace it I’ll post an...
I’m not too sure on where to post this thread because I couldn’t find any sections for a 1278 so if I’m in the wrong spot I apologize.
Anyways I have a 1278 JLTV in my bay that was brought in for a wiring harness due to a couple of codes being thrown on the DSDU. It did not run when it was...
The original problem was the charging system light was on as well as the trans light. From what they told me, they diagnosed the the trans light as a bad pcb so they replaced it but the kid who installed it did put the 24v and 12v wires backwards, that problem is fixed now, so they ended up...
I reset the codes, worked for about half a second but it still shows the same codes. Is the WTEC controller not happy because the pcb and VIM were replaced? Is there some sort of flashing that needs to be done in order to get them to communicate properly?
The only code I can get to pop up is a 0 with and X in the middle then after a few seconds it changes to something people on the internet call “cat eyes”. It’s a 2004 and something I forgot to mention in my earlier post was two mechanics had this before me and they replaced the entire pcb as...
I’ve got a 1078 in my bay that won’t start, the transmission’s physically in neutral but the dash selector switch is giving me a code not in the TM. When I pull the neutral start relay out of the pcb the green LED lights up and I can jump the starter with a screwdriver. When I put the relay back...
