The 700R4 in stock form is Light Duty at best.
It has a lower 1st gear than the TH400 and of course the overdrive.
the 700R4's are prone to heat failures, and cost 3 times what a 400 does to rebuild.
I am not sure but I believe that the 700 R4's also use a lockup convertor.

Fired one of the trucks up as I touched the throttle
the pedal hit the floor and the motor wound right up fast!
Freaked , I grabbed the shut down and pulled the T right off, which went flying out the door and in the snow (yeah still some around)

Some members have been disallusioned after the purchase of freshly painted over & prettied up trucks from Alpha.
Haven't heard any complaints about tires from them.
Man, it seems to me that I've seen plenty of tires for sale a lot closer to Florida though.

an add a leaf kit should do the trick
they typically add about 2in
I've done this to several trucks GM & Dodge

It is rare that someone attemping to sell something doesn't try to sound like a heck of a guy on the phone.
I never trust a salesman when his lips are moving.
sounds alot better than a bent driveshaft & crushed exhaust from the typical hilo crap.
drag link and /or tie rods for what is probably one of the most common vehicles on the road in this country. are not very expensive or hard to replace.
Sure GL should know that their bubba is a moron, but...
Here in Michigan, My 16,000lb M36A2 is not restricted by the MDOT frost laws.
The most weight is on the two front tires, yet it is still within the frost law limits.
The limits are tighter on the steering axle due to the forces generated when turning corners.
on another note, my pad in front...
Yup, M886 Truck Ambulance 1 1/4 ton
extra poor fuel economy???????????????????
My M886 got 36 MP4G (miles per 4 gallons)
Where as my current (Ex Air Force) Ambulance gets 32 MP4G
