These are some pictures of the linkages, pump, and pto. Notice the linkage to the pto is unpainted. I believe this was replaced at some point for some reason. Also, the pins that were installed at the ends of it were bolts that had holes drilled in the for the hitch pins. I have since...
When I got my truck the PTO was engaged. There is no telling how long it was like that and no way to know how much driving was done or how fast it was driven. What I do know is that my pump is covered in oil and dirt probably because it is leaking from being run at high speed. It still works...
masalser, did you ever determine what the problem was with your linkages. I'm dealing with a similar problem right now. I pulled apart the control box and everything seems fine. I did find that the "linkage arms connected by a pivoting arm that shifts the linkages over" will not move while...
It was nice to meet everyone at the rally this year. I wish i could have arrived earlier and stayed longer. Poor planning on my part. Im interested in a t-shirt and either a gathering at the offroad park or Jims ranch sounds good.
I will be bringing the M817. Not sure if I will be there Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. Can someone tell me when the convoy leaves the offroad park Saturday morning. Also I have two complete deuce winch kits I can bring if anyone is interested (check the classifieds).
I recently change the seals and wear rings on a M817 and I thought I would include some pictures of how I installed the seals and wear rings.
When I took the hubs off I noticed that the wear rings were not positioned all the way back to the step on the axle. This bothered me because there...

I like the idea of a fuel shut off valve, but I would prefer not having to get that close the engine if it's a runaway. If the valve could be controlled from the cab that would be great otherwise I think I would prefer to go with the CO2.
Rattlecan, I'm thinking about getting the setup you installed. Can you tell me how well the green display is during the day? Some colors are better during the day and some better at night. I emailed the company and they suggested amber citing that BMW and Audi use it. I was originally...
I'm not sure about other counties but in Harris County the tax office is going to tell you to take it to the Harris County Sheriffs Office auto theft division so they can fill out a form 68A if you do not have a title and you want to get the bonded title. Ask me how I know!!! You will have to...
Those two o-rings weren't in my rebuild kits either. The o-ring that is beveled I believe was round at one time but conforms to the shape of the parts when they are bolted back together. Of course I could be wrong. In both cases I just found o-rings that were approximately the same size as...
I like it AZdeuce. I agree with Gimpy about multiple filters. What you have looks well thought out and above all clean. Kudos.
One of these days I will get around to making my own setup.
Thank you for your help

My oil pan has a small hole in it plus a lot of the tires have dry rot. Most people on here recommend not driving them until everything can be checked out. I don't live in Dallas so my time is very limited to work on it. I figure it would be best to transport it.
I need to get my m35a2 and trailer from duncanville, TX to Houston. It's currently on my in-laws property so I'm not in a big hurry. I'm hoping someone could get it on a back haul. The truck runs and drives fine so no winch needed for loading. I was offered the use of a tow bar by another...
Thanks for all of the replies. I certainly feel better about buying this truck. It has a half a tank of fuel in it so at least thats worth something, right?
Thanks 4X4, My first order of business is to try and get it to Cypress. I ordered some parts from Memphis yesterday and I'm going to order an oil pan today. I will definitely keep everyone up to date on the progress.
Hello everyone.
I'm a newb as far as posting, but I have been doing a lot of reading and research on the site. I finally bought my first Duece.
I'll start with the story first then go over the truck. My wife and I were visiting her parents in Duncanville, TX about 3 or 4 months ago. We...
