Finally got (re)started on the old girl.
First thing was to remove the bed (unfortunately I didn't weigh it)
Then I started taking windshields apart to see which one was better and what pieces I could use to make one good one.
Once I got as far as I could on those, I moved to the...
Lol what stinks is I can't put current pics of the M715 up because I want to enter her this year in her new configuration and don't want to "spoil" it... 😁😅😆

The thing is, friend, that a piece of paper out there that has the weight of the bed likely doesn't exist.
You have had several people, myself included, who not only have moved these beds, but have also given you tips on how to weigh it/lift it with your hoist safely.

If they're locked with the key from outside, I can't pull the handle up from inside and unlock it. I can still push down/pull up from the inside and lock it/unlock it. That removes the "pull it up with a coat hanger from the outside".
A whole lot of this here....
I have locking door handles on my 5 ton (I keep the windshields locked and have a hard top, so that isn't an issue) but I also have a hidden master kill switch. Steering wheels, chains and locks can be cut, but if you can't get power, you aren't going anywhere...
You can also "test lift" it before committing to the lift. Rig it up, pick it up a couple inches and let it hang for a few minutes.
That way, if something DOES fail, it isn't catastrophic.
This one is going right to the line!
Its time for @hambone and @SCM35A2 to break out the bribes... er.... incentives... to get someone to change their vote!
Welcome to the site! My first was a '69 M35A2 and was very forgiving for a complete noob who knew NOTHING about these trucks!
Just a warning, the addiction is REAL!
When you pull the trigger, be sure to visit the appropriate TM section, post pics and feel free to ask questions!
