Yesterday was running to Monoe, La to pick up this:
Because I ordered some a few weeks ago and they still hadn't arrived and the tracking only said "moving through network (the parts were supposed to arrive on the 4th), so because I need the truck today and this weekend, I panicked and...
I just repainted the M715. I had to go with Valspar instead of Sherwin-Williams as Lowes didn't have the base I need.
I swear by Sherwin-Williams but have my doubts about the Valspar. We will see after the first pressure wash...
And to say it was BRIGHT when u sprayed is an...
It was a PITA for sure. And I may have to order another set as the paint I used is less than optimal. I have a feeling the first pressure wash and they're going to come off.
Your mask did GREAT though!
Added my rank "Terminal Lance" to make her the true work horse of the military... the lowly E-3 😅😆😁
And an antenna...
And I'm pretty pleased with the results so far..
The wheels are the old color matched tan. They're getting painted today along woth thr pioneer tools, and a little something something is being added today too...
The green is a little bright, I couldn't quite nail the green I wanted, bit I think it looks good.... almost like a truck from the old "Toy soldiers" kits we got as kids, where everything was that same green.. 😁🙄
I did! And I'm not completely done yet, still have some to add, but I was 10 hours into the day and losing light.....
Today I'm going to attempt the rank mask...
I would hit it with the concrete bit, use a scraper or something to get rid of the flake paint/rust, spray on the rust treatment, prime those areas with self etching primer (Autozone, 12.00/can)
then spray.
