    Southwest area overland group?

Spent some time with a fellow 5T owner a little while ago who has been on some of those trails personally with his Jeep. He said some are a bit too tight for the 5T, but what didn’t show in the videos is that there are usually some parts that let you bypass the most difficult parts. Soon as I...

    I Took the Plunge: 71DeuceAK's 1986 M928A1 Project

I have plenty of threads for it. If you ever have any questions, just go ahead and ask on any one of them.

    I Took the Plunge: 71DeuceAK's 1986 M928A1 Project

Don't lose faith just yet. The emotional pain from losing that much money when you purchase it is only temporary, the permanent financial drain on your wallet just for owning one is a completely different story lmao. All jokes aside, just get it home, or at least someplace where you can work on...

    M939 Hard Top Mold

It’s amazing what shows up in google when you search for M939 and fiberglass lol once I’m finished with this dang rebuild I might look at doing a fiberglass top for mine, maybe a hood too.

6CTA8.3 engine rebuild for Sur Móvil

I’m already leaning that way at the moment. I have found some info on the pump, and the after reading the manual some it actually has more info in it than I had anticipated. Only problem is that the plunger/barrel assembly (matched sets) are pretty expensive for this pump, which is why the...

6CTA8.3 engine rebuild for Sur Móvil

Only been a couple days since the last update but A LOT has happened! A couple days ago I got the #4 fuel injector line I was waiting for so I decided to get back to work. Got a few more things taken care of on the engine, just enough to try to start it. I bleed the fuel lines again and she...

6CTA8.3 engine rebuild for Sur Móvil

Traded some effort and use of my torque multiplier for the wheels so I could get another protective control box from another SS member in AZ. Just got back and put it in. He said he wasn’t sure if it worked or not since it was under his seat when he got his truck from auction. We did at least...

6CTA8.3 engine rebuild for Sur Móvil

Yeah, there’s no way around that for me. I don’t have the luxury of having the truck in any kind of building. I did my best to keep the weather and elements out of the engine, but you’ve all seen how well that has gone.

6CTA8.3 engine rebuild for Sur Móvil

Nope, didn’t replace it. Matter of fact, I didn’t think of it all, but you made a good point. I just did a second rebuild on this turbo because of the engine. First one way back when this whole shebang started I bought a full cartridge and swapped it in easy, this time I only got the turbo...

6CTA8.3 engine rebuild for Sur Móvil

Thanks. It’s certainly been a trying time with it down, and especially for so long. I hope I didn’t fry the starter, but when I checked today it looks like it’s a neutral safety switch problem instead. I’ve got voltage out of the PCB and to the start switch, but nothing on the return to the PCB...

6CTA8.3 engine rebuild for Sur Móvil

Yeah I don’t know what happened to the **** fonts I might idle it for a minute (not enough to get hot) just so I can double check a few things, but the first stop will be the fuel station since the truck is on E right now lol i can’t drive it right now even if I had everything back together...

6CTA8.3 engine rebuild for Sur Móvil

Well I made a lot of progress since the last post. Last night I put a post up on my FB page for the truck. Today has been a super exciting day! Got a bunch of little things done. Turbo cartridge installed after rebuilding it, oil system closed up, 5gal oil in the engine (still need more)...

Wiring diagram- M939, clear copy needed

Well for me P2P is completely useless since it will only run on windows. That is one OS the I will NEVER go back too

Wiring diagram- M939, clear copy needed

Still looking, P2P is useless for me since it won’t run on a Mac.

Living quarters conversion... real world feedback/experience needed

Self-removal was actually the main priority for me, robust strength was a bonus but still necessary. If I ever make it to Haspin, Rausch, or any of the other off-road rallies I’ll be taking it onto the trails with me since it will have to handle the punishment of being on the trails as well...

Wiring diagram- M939, clear copy needed

P2P keeps poppin up with a 404 failure, I’ll try again though. I was using links found elsewhere in SS but this went directly to the 5T TM area, no wonder it kept failing to load, it’s no longer there...unless I’m blind cause I do t see it anywhere in the TM thread list.
