. Remove the wheels, Remove the hubs and grease the bearings. Beyond that, it is just a matter of deciding what else you want to do. Maybe lights? Maybe grease on the other swivel points? Maybe check out the hydraulic cylinder up front? Good luck on your trailer adventure! Price seems...

M923 A1 Axle Question & Prep For Long Drive

. Another thing to do is get yourself a hand held thermometer. Drive it for an hour, get out and walk around the truck zapping each hub. If you see one that is really hot, start looking for a way to drive off the road and start fixing it. Chances are your hubs will be just fine... Make SURE...

. I wouldn't worry about the grease that held the push rod in place for your fuel pump. Soon as you start the truck, that grease will get washed out and eventually dissolve. .

To get my HMMWV (M1097A2) in good running order... need help.

. And honestly, if you removed every connection, scrubbed it with a fine wire brush, coated it lightly with Anti-Ox paste, then plugged it back in -- it would take you a week. Maybe less depending on how motivated you are. You and your truck would be much happier! .

CUCV Heaven, My build of a 1009 and 1008

. My best guess is that the wire that runs down through the column has rubbed itself bare somewhere along the way. Attach a new piece of 14ga to the old wire and pull it out through the bottom of the column, then thread it to where it touches the wiring harness.
