Generally speaking, the hose fittings are going to be crimp-on style from the military.
Local hose shops will generally use crimp-on fittings as well...
Having a roll of hose and a bag full of "skive" type installable fittings are always a nice way to make your repairs.

Hello @Dipstick !
Long time no talk... I hate to hear that you decided to let your Deuce go. It was an amazing little truck. Yeah, I know it's hard to work on these things as you get older - but what I do now is work and rest, work and rest, and so on. We had a few days of warm weather...

Welcome to the Outfit!
You might want to download the TM's (Technical Manuals) for your truck. Simple things like the LO (Lubrication Order) might be really worth your time to read through.

It might be really worth your time to at least download the TM's for your truck. A little reading on your part in the "-10" book would be really useful.

You know @Guyfang , I'm thinking that you kinda got what you deserved. I have bees here at the printshop. They hang out and give honey in return... They even recognize me when I walk out back to see how they are doing. I've got maybe a dozen that come flying up to me and land on my shirt...

It is to "quieten" the fan motor when running - with a radio running.
The fan will still squawk and squeal if the bearings are bad.
It helps isolate the motor from the rest of the electrical system...

Don't hesitate to start downloading the TM's for your new truck - once you have it. Yes sir, you may end up with the green disease... It will spread... Don't forget to post us some pics when you go pick it up!

Welcome to the Outfit!
Yes Sir, you have been afflicted with The Green Disease for sure!
Maybe eventually you will find yourself a HMMWV to mount those pieces of hardware on.

You know @Another Ahab , back in the day the general could have paid for his jeep.
I know that back when RH Bouligny bought jeeps and such, $500 was BIG BUCKS for a jeep similar to that...
