MV of the Month January 2024

. I thought somebody ( @patracy ) had to close down the voting on the 15th of the month and open up a voting thread. Doesn't matter to me - but I thought the voting started sometime after the middle of the month? .

    IDLER ARM BROKE

. Do you remember "curbing" one of the front tires? After you installed the new idler arm - but before it broke...?

    Knuckle Boom Crane on M35A2C

. Well... It isn't a Hiab 750. I would bet that it is a Hiab though... When the snow clears, maybe on the back of the boom? There should be a plate (ID Plate) on there. Looking at the outrigger, it seems like the parts would be interchangeable. Heck, for that matter if you can get the old...

    M1035 Help With Parts Identification

. Well, that's good... Seems like there are three of us now who may have concerns about the underside of the vehicle.

    M1240 M-ATV

. Neat! The back end of it looks like the M1089 LMTV back end. Same Grove crane, two tool boxes, it appears to have two winches headed out back, and the stand and the Bench Vice that it mounts on... .

    From fire truck to MTV

. Absolutely! Gotta get yourself a stick to prop up the cab if it decides to fall down. .

    From fire truck to MTV

. You might want to take a look @chucky 's build thread. There is a world of good information in it... https://steelsoldiers.com/threads/chuckys-tree-house.199132/ .

    CTIS Question

. You said "The brakes are at 120 PSI" and I am guessing by saying that, you mean that the gauges are showing 120psi? If that is so, you need to get more pressure before anything is going to happen with CTIS. .

    M1035 Help With Parts Identification

. Yeah! You definitely need some replacement parts... Looks to me like the spring perches need to be looked at carefully as well. It almost looks like this thing was bought somewhere up north and maybe the PO (Previous Owner) had a snow plow on it. That, or the PO just rumbled down the...

Texas will not register my M35A3

. Good for you! Sometimes you just have to stand up and say Hell No!

. You beat me to it @TOBASH ... My words almost exactly - except the part about reading your thread. Even though I have read it.

Getting started from scratch with a Deuce in 2024?

. Yes Sir! I drove a milk tanker - with a friend who drove it regularly - on a few weekends. That "milk slosh" was something! First time I applied the brakes that slap of the milk running to the front of the tank took my breath away...

Need help identifying a part for my LMTV or if I should even be trying to repair it at this point.

. First two pictures look like the battery tester. Hard to know for sure. Maybe pull it out of the dirt / stuff? The hanging wire should be a heater wire for the air system.

    Towing a dead M1083 with M1079

. Good Deal! Glad to hear that it worked out for you. .

    Towing a dead M1083 with M1079

. @JRKJeeper , you should be able to push back on the tow bar. Just have to remember that if it "gets out of sort" you may need to pull up, then push back again... .

Getting started from scratch with a Deuce in 2024?

. You got yourself a nice looking Deuce there @kurtomatic ! So, down there in Texas you might actually have a need for a water carrier. Just BE CAREFUL with a partial fill on those tanks. You might get "Tanker Slosh" and you could easily end up on your side! I think you got a pretty good...
