Look at the front skid plate. If it is longer, noted by the stretched out holes, then it's for the a2 or ECV Humvee, not the standard m998's on GP. If it's the shorter skid plate (flatter holes), it'll work on a standard Humvee.
Here are the pics of the two different ones:

I'm looking for a small flatbed trailer for my Humvee. Ideally, it would be like the M1101 or m1102 utility trailer's subframe, but with a flatbed deck. Have you ever seen something like that?
Thanks. This was the most inexpensive, yet effective, fix I've done. Thanks to those who've gone before me to recommend it (retiredwarhorses, etc.). It'll probably save a few PCB's over the years.
I purchased the Grounding Kit from Kascar (PN 535-A1) and installed it over the weekend. I know it's cheap & easy to make one yourself, but I don't have much wiring experience and for $70 I figured I'd get it right the first time. It was a quick & easy install. Here's a write-up in case it helps...
I'm looking for some info on the development of the GMV Variant of the HMMWV for the Special Operations groups.
For example, did depots start with an M998 and just add the hardtop, C-pillar and SF accessories? Or did they start with a M1025 or similar armament carrier, remove the sponsons and...
Well, to make my turret leak a little less, here are my steps in applying the recommended maintenance in the above PS Magazine. I chose to use a 1/8" thick 4'x4' square of heavy duty rubber instead of an innertube. The hatch seals up nice and tight, and no water leaks in, after sealing the hatch...
If the white smoke issue occurs with hard starting, replace your glow plugs. It's a quick, 45-minute job and fixed the problem for me. She starts right up like a brand new truck now!
Thanks. Yes, I will be mocking everything up (as per your previous advice) before torquing this thing down. I was hoping the added weatherstripping would work, since it provides some cushioning and possibly a little leak prevention. Once I get the tray on maybe I'll come up with better ideas for...
I assume this is the biggest problem... water leaking around the bolt holes. Couldn't I use the rubber from a large-enough inner tube to cover this "channel"? Maybe cur it to fit around the ring and then seal it under the little stock seal, over the bolt channel and then seal it to the roof...
Gentlemen,
To prepare for the eminent leaks this winter, I am attempting the instructions in the attached newsletter. It calls for a specific inner tube, which I am unable to find. Has anyone attempted this, or have the inner tube they can mail me? It's NSN 2610-00-051-9602
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand the part numbers for the compatible A2 halfshafts are:
RCSK17028-1 (Rear)
RCSK17028-2 (Right Front)
RCSK17028-3 (Left Front)
