Having a heck of a time identifying this leak, which is dripping from the front driver's side brake caliper. It does look and feel like brake fluid, but the master cylinder is still full. The brake line connections I can see are dry, as is the bleeder. The pictures are taken from the front of...
That would be great, thanks. Getting the cables over there would be my only concern. You just interrupted the negative cable between the truck and the battery, right?
I would buy the kit from TMG, but already have a switch... Just need cables and advice.
From what I understand, the keyed start switch requires that the original hole be drilled larger. Correct me if I'm wrong, but since that would mean that you can never go back to using the original switch, it's a no go for me. I'll get the door locks and lockable kill switch.
Went muddin the other day and noticed a lot came up through the floorboards. Not a big deal, but I'd like to at least protect the battery compartment (see pic). Anyone seen a solution for this?
Just noticed the rear halfshaft is seeping. Fulled it up with Gear Oil but planning to take a closer look this weekend. Anyone got a suggestion for the part numbers for seals, etc. I should buy to prepare for the job?
Thanks,
The only thing that happened out of the ordinary recently is the other day, it was raining heavily and the truck wouldn't start. I attempted starting it several times, sometimes holding the switch in the Start position for 10-15 seconds. White smoke would blow out the exhaust pipe, but the motor...
Ok, I will test em. Strange though, as they only have 200 miles on them. Truck has been sitting on a base for 8 years though, so things are bound to happen with that long period of non-use. If glow plugs test fine, I was thinking it could be a wiring short or something like that...
Just noticed a new problem on the Humvee. When switching from stop to run on a cold morning, the Glow Plug Wait Light just flashes quickly, whereas before it would stay lit for a few seconds, until the plugs were warmed up. I wait several seconds anyway, and the truck starts up fine, but am...
I am looking for someone who can make a run from Antioch, CA to Saratoga Springs, Utah. The item is less than 500lbs and just needs to be secured on a flatbed (HMMWV Hardtop Roof Kit). Send me a PM if you can make the run in the next few weeks. Thanks!
