Mine is a 1990 M936A2 , picked it up about 3 months ago and have been picking away at the deficiency list as time, weather and funds allow
Here it is on the lowboy for the voyage home, only about a 3 hour trip...
1)Shift t case to neutral
2)engage transfer case PTO, it's the one to the left of the driver's seat, not the one by the dash for the front winch
3) place transmission shifter in range 1-5
4)hand throttle to 1200-1300 rpm
The crane and rear winch run off the transfer case pto and the front winch...
Hell yeah! Can't wait to see it when you get it home! If I was more confident in the condition of my wrecker we might have been able to tow bar it back, also I would need a tow bar lol.
Have you tried seeing if a wrecker company like Dawson's or Kennedy's will tow it with the drive shaft pulled? Might be a cheaper option than a lowbed but even that seems high. Try Galivan or call around to heavy equipment places, most of them have their own low boy trailers
That f350 came with 325/570 hp/tq from the factory vs the 160/290 from the M1123 so not really a fair comparison. But still sounds like something is up, truck should be able to spin the tires. When you say it loses power does the engine RPM drop or does it just feel like the truck comes out of...
