They pull the rear driveshafts if the trucks have to be towed to the GP yard. Yes, the truck may start etc., but there is going to be something catastrophically wrong with either the trans or the t-case.
Pulled rear driveshafts are a kiss of death in my experience.
Just curious who else feels compelled to incorporate their MVs into their July 4th (US).
I integrate it into our display of in no way illegal fireworks on our property.
How do you celebrate Independence Day with the Independence-mobile in your life?
I have a 1994 M1081 that works great, though the illumination for the gauges on the dash doesn't work.
Yes, I have turn the illumination dimmer all the way up, and no, this is not for the warning indicators, it is for the analog gauges.
Any idea where to find the bulb in the dash and where to...
Agreed, but there are only so many latrines, and the trucks didn't drive themselves.
I'm just glad this issue didn't manifest on say, Patriot Missile Launchers...

I have a 1986 AM General M998. I did initial fluid replacement (oil change, coolant flush, transmission fluid, changed fuel filter), installed two (2) new batteries, then the only other issue with the truck was what I surmised to be clogs in the fuel lines.
I had the tank pulled by a local shop...
When are you going to do the Cars giant eyes in the windshield?
Also, if you manage to install a Charlise Theron, put me down as an interested buyer. Just don't tell my wife. ;)
Just a tip for potential contestants: when it comes to MV of the Month, with regards to wheels vis-a-vis chances of winning, if you ain't got six (6), you ain't got sh!t.
More than four = foot in the door.
Just sayin
