I have purchased the OEM M1078 cab heater/AC unit to swap out with the heater only unit.
In theory, should any suitably rated condenser hook up to the unit with the correct hoses / wiring?
I have seen Red Dot units with sufficient BTU output that I could mount on the rear exterior of the cab...
Please click on the link to see the full story of how I converted a neglected S-250 comms shelter to a sleeps-three family overland camper on an M1102 trailer.

No S-250 / M1102 combination I have seen so far...
I visited my 1995 S&S M1078 this past Friday the the GP lot (still awaiting EUC approval, just went to TSC last week, so maybe this week or next...).
The passenger door needs a latch mechanism, which I just ordered, but it also needs the connector rods. I researched the Tis and found the NSN...
Thanks for the link; hopefully it won't come to all that.
The yard monkey at the GP site said most of the units they just got run fine, and there are at least 50 FMTV trucks there now, so I think Ft Bragg is purging.
It is the largest military installation in the world, so phasing out 90's...
I just visited my LMTV at the GovPlanet yard today while there to pick.up some other stuff.
All four (4) batteries are dead, per voltmeter. Good new is they are NAPA, and we're manufactured 3/20, so I should be able to get them replaced for free...
The rest of the truck looked pretty legit...
This past weekend we took our Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road and 1986 AM General M998 HMMWV to Cape Lookout National Seashore on the outer banks of NC to camp in a cabin and drive on the sand. She just got a brand new rear differential installed, so this was the maiden voyage for it.
Beautiful...
The obvious answer is it's clearly rigged; the winner should be the one with the next highest number of votes.
Those votes are obviously valid, whereas the others are not. 🤔
Win lose or draw this month, I was able to take two (2) dissociated pieces of militaria and revitalize or otherwise repurpose them into one (1) homogeneous unit that taught me a lot in the process and provided my family some memories. I also think I really pushed the envelope for what is...
One of the guys at work was a HMMWV driver during his time in the Army and he told me his motor pool Sargeant told him to always drive in HL - even on base 🤷♂️.
That is completely antithetical to the TM, but his time in the service was during the time my HMMWV would've been putting around Ft...
I live a couple hours away, so that's my plan - whether I get it running on the GP site or have it towed to a heavy truck repair place in Fayetteville first - at some point, I will be driving it home and not having it towed there for troubleshooting

Thanks for the input this far.
I'm going to buy a couple batteries (should I buy all four?) to take with me along with some Diesel and I've already bought a handful each of 12v and 24v 5-pin relays as well.
