Just listened to the 2nd video and I believe it's a stuck open injector. Explains the sound and the smoke. As suggested crack the injector lines one at a time to isolate. If it is stuck open don't drive it as the poor cylinder is getting washed.
When you get on it what color is the smoke and how much of it is there. Could be an injector failing. Get a stethoscope to help isolate the noise.

It's all a compromise. I first did part of my truck in semi gloss and it didn't look good at all but the Satin (Matt) did what I wanted. My paint job is over six years old and the paint probably lost half of the sheen. My truck sits outside so the sun does its thing.

The color is an old WWII German Panzer green with an extra shot of black. My buddy came up with it for his Pinzgauer 712M and I painted my M101A2 to match so when I got my M998 I went the same way. The M101A2 fits the lines of the Pinzgauer perfectly.

Back in the early 90s I built a 20' connex box mobile work shop/camper that was shippable anywhere in the world. I maintained a German made Ocean deployment power and fiber optic cable laying machine (panzer tank tracks and all. This was for the Dept. Of the Navy and AT&T. This machine was...
A one time ship connex box would be my choice. A great positive with moving the spare tire is you could fab up a pass through from the cab to the box. The spare tire is a real problem and I'm not sure where I would put the damn thing. Please keep up updated as to the progress.

If you suspect a head gasket leak then you need a product like below. It will let you know one way or the other. It looks for exhaust gases in the coolant. Hope this helps.

The theft issue is a big deal. I have two blink cameras on mine. One on the dash and one mounted out the pass bed side watching my M101A2. I absolutely get that the real X-Doors are big bucks but they are soooo much better than the soft doors. When I got my set I only had to replace one glass...
I tried the cheaper stuff and I can tell you it fades quick compared to the rustoleum. It also flakes more. Been there done that and won't do it again.
