    Potential Alaska Get-Together?

    I pictured a drive-in, but a fly-in could generate more attendance!

    Potential Alaska Get-Together?

This idea popped into my head in January while flying back up to Fairbanks from an MV stint outside Minot, North Dakota: Alaska get-together perhaps? There are a few of us Deuce/5 ton guys in and around Anchorage and Fairbanks, plus other areas. One fellow member suggested maybe everyone...

    M939A2 No Air Building

I'm sure this has been asked a million times over the 20 years of Steel Soldiers' existence by now, but I didn't find anything relevant with my search terms, or looking through the -10: '91 M923A2: Roommate's truck. We went to get it running today for the first time since parked October 2019...

    Redbaron1, keep us posted!

Show your 5 tons in the snow.

I've often thought the same- the things these trucks watch day after day, sometimes year after year.

    Dead Pilot's M36a2 Build

I commend you for piecing her back together!

Stuff in the local yard (Western Washington)

Any idea what they're asking on the 5 ton M939 series there?

Texas to Alaska ... what to take?

Ah. I look forward to riding with someone or doing such a trip myself...in an M939. One day...

Texas to Alaska ... what to take?

VWilkins, hello from another Californian! I've talked to Buffalo here about going along...maybe we can all coordinate somehow? I don't currently have a truck that runs but am happy to ride shotgun with someone.

Thinking about pulling the Deuce Trigger Again

Having worked with you for a couple weeks I'd say my experience was that even in such condition you were strong as a bull compared to my thin, lanky, unchallenged stature. In a way I've been surprised when I found I could pick up and roll a G177 w/wheel & rim. I myself prefer power steering...

Thinking about pulling the Deuce Trigger Again

21 here, soon to be 22. Never really got familiar with the Canadian Deuce, was it their own take on the M35A3?

Thinking about pulling the Deuce Trigger Again

I'll keep that in mind! Gary's Truck in Anchorage also comes to mind. Perhaps my intuition of M35s being cheap and plentiful in Alaska was indeed founded at least partially on reality...

Thinking about pulling the Deuce Trigger Again

I'm starting to feel that way. The market was cheaper years ago when I was considering them, and my situation is different now as well.

Thinking about pulling the Deuce Trigger Again

Especially in my neck of the woods...
