For holes that big your going to need JB weld. Liquid sealers won't seal holes that big. I would use JB weld and then use a sealer. I buy a product from Oreilly's that is red, I'll get the name and send it to you.
Looks like someone didn't know what they were doing and tried to pry the pumps out when the fuel rack was not in the fully closed position. I did that the very first time taking the pumps out because I didn't read the TM's. I would take the side cover off to gain access to the bottom of the...
I've had the Invoa auto start for the past 6 years on my 002a and love it. Yes it does have a warm up and shut down cycle before applying loads. You can download the manual for free from their website. Peter who owns the company is very helpful and full of knowledge. Your link is for the...
120/240 only because the equipment they are hooked to, no other modifications. The wiring harness that is not original is red. You can leave everything in place and run it.
Yes, I was able to use the advr-054 but I had to buy another one to try. Apparently I toasted the original advr-054 but don't know how. After I installed the new one it worked perfect.
Yes it should move but you need to make sure you do a full rotation of the motor to see it turn. From your video of start up and stop, it looks good. Have you pop tested the injectors? I know you said you checked them and cleaned but how did you check them?
Since your last post and reevaluating the information you posted, I believe you have an injector pump problem. If you could shoot a video of the startup and shut of the unit, we should be able to tell if its the pumps. This would make sense why you cant get the hertz to stay consistent and the...
Do you have a thermo meter to take temperature? Take a temp at each exhaust port to see if you have big swings in temp. I bet one of the injectors is not putting the correct amount of fuel in the cylinder. They should all be around the same temp, but the one that is off will have a...
Your problem is the fuel rack. In your video and post you said you had fuel leaks at some the injector pumps and after you tighten them the leaks went away. Very first indication that someone removed them or at least loosen them for some purpose. Number 2 your slower than normal start and slower...
I think everyone will agree, the likely hood of a total gen head failure is slim to none. Ive bought over 2,000 units (802a&803a) and have never seen a head failure. We've seen a couple of people on the site diagnose the rotating diodes being bad but that's it (easy fix). There are several large...
With 12 hours, your plunger is more than likely stuck. This is very common with low hour units. Its easier to leave the pumps in place and take the tops off. From your picture, it looks like you may have taken the top off only. There is no oring but below the item you thought had an oring is the...
From your pic, yours is an older model that has an inline glass fuse coming from TB5 6 for the outlet. But I don't see the glass fuse holder in your pic.
I'm blown away! Looks like they never changed the oil in the poor machine. That sludge is from years of neglect. Lots of carb cleaner will get it but I bet it's like tar now. It would be easier to find a replacement before trying to clean that thing out. But I will say I'm impressed for 6800hrs...
Buy Triple Jim's board, best money I every spent. I've purchased a couple over the years for different units with VR problems. So if anyone needs an old board, that is not functioning, I'll let them go at a good price. ;)
