I will say, every machine is different. I have some that will do 62 amps and above but then I have other machines that max at 58amps before the motor bogs down. So your machine may not do 62amps or it might do 65amps so don't push it to 62 amps if it won't but at the very least it should do...
I personally load test these at 56 amps (13,400 watts) continuously for at least 6 hours before I sell them. The main reason I test them that hard is because if a problem is going to surface, it will show with a hard run on the machine. This way I can guarantee someone a quality machine with no...
I've actually had some units with cracked (not broken all the way) guides which would flow test perfect but when the motor ran it would have the same symptoms as a plunger guide failure. They were cracked enough to let the plunger spin just a little with the thrust of the motor but would sit...
Ray70 you did everything perfect. Yes, I guarantee the plunger guide broke and let the plunger spin with causes the timing to be off. I've had this happen a couple of times. The Delivery Valve seal doesn't matter. I don't ever replace them because Ambac wants $20 for the stupid thing. I've seen...
Sounds like you either have no fuel in the tank or the fuel float in the tank is malfunctioning. The no fuel fault will keep you from cranking at the master switch and it will also keep the electric fuel pump from working. Yes it will start with the dead crank switch and manually pulling the...
Understand. Just so everyone knows the mil-spec handles go on the holder in the jack leg. Your picture shows the exact spot where the handle mounts (bracket beside the chain), so you don't have to worry about misplacing the handle. Really neat design.
I have applied companies HVAC unit with 20kw generator for sale on craigslist if you're interested.
A 9000 hour machine is only going to bring $1,000 but I will tell you they will last double that number. I have a customer that just reached 18,000 hours on his 802a.
I sale a lot of military generators and would much rather have a 003a over a 803a. When the 803a fails its very difficult to find the problem when times are tough. The 003a is more reliable but you have to run it more to work out all the quirks. All the items you mentioned are common problems...
If you have a pressure washer, just put it on the something solid and step on it to hold it place, then power wash the screen. Takes seconds to clean them. I've only had 2 (that was on2 002a's) that I just let soak in cleaner for days and then power washed it, usually they come clean.
It will be fine to pressure wash with everything in place. After I'm done servicing new to me units, I pressure wash without covering anything. Just make sure you don't spray directly in the generator head or alternator. Also be careful with the fuel return lines, the pressure washer will cut...
