WOW! Are you sure that is not for the turbo motor? That was the price of the turbo motor the last I checked about 15-18 months ago. If that is for the NA motor, their prices have gone up substantially (and by that I mean more than doubled). A friend bought a NA 6.5L motor from them toward the...
Eastern Surplus in PA has 6.5 NA (and 6.5 TD) motors for sale. The last I spoke to Bill Peaslee there, I was told they will test run the engine and send you a video of it running. When last I saw, they were asking around $2K for the NA and $4K for the TD...give or take a few $$$.
I have no idea about an answer to your question, so this may or not be helpful. But, I have had an M932 that was a former USAF truck that had a bumper mounted pintle hitch. They reinforced the bumper at the hitch point with additional slabs of 1/4" steel. How well reinforced the mounting...

Regarding the headlights, there is a button on the floor to the left as you are sitting in the driver's seat that turns on and off the high...
Freightliner made an M917A1/A2 for the military, but they are hard to find and will be very costly IF you can find one. I'd plan to spend at least $30K for one, but almost certainly more.
Years ago, I was told by GovLiquidation that they were supposed to obliterate all military markings on vehicles before they left the yard. Obviously, they didn't always do it...and it has been hit and miss since. I showed up to a GL site to pick up a trailer with a pristene M1028 that had "US...
