One more point...those four ton jack stands that are marked as such do not specify anywhere on them that the four tons corresponds to the rating of the pair. It was on the paperwork I received when I originally bought them. Making it even worse is that I only have one at this time. The other...
I am glad you pointed out the mandate in 2015. I had no idea about that. I will add that I have a pair of heavy duty jack stands that I bought 25 years or so ago that were rated in pairs, too. I am unsure when they started that. My big point was that a person needs to consider that they...
I use military 7 ton jack stands that are made for big trucks. I don't have them handy to tell you the brand. I feel that a 6 ton jack stand is sufficient, especially if you are only removing one wheel. If you want additional safety, leave the jack underneath the axle, too (or use both 6 ton...
I don't know the laws in WI, but, from what I've experienced in multiple states, that only works if the seller is a car dealer and they can use a dealer transfer form to transfer ownership. Otherwise, as kblazer87 said, I think he will have to transfer the existing paperwork into his name and...
I am sure there is an official camo pattern for that trailer. Until you can find one, though, you might want to look on the Internet, particularly GovPlanet, for pictures to use as a template. There definitely have been camo M1101s/M1102s sold. Sorry I can't help more.
I understand your interest in learning the correct year of manufacture. Are you trying to tag it as the correct year of manufacture? This may be difficult depending upon your state. Many state DMVs tend to want to keep it titled as it says on the existing title, and you may raise red flags if...
I have some M939 series windshields that you can reference. They won't fit your truck, but the installation should be the same. I am in Damascus if you want to check them out. I used to buy NOS windshields from Adirondack Dodge (they sold M37 windshields, but they are the same as yours). I...
Go back and check the listing. It should say something about the title being for an off-road use only vehicle if it is. I am guessing it is not so stipulated.
In my experience, this is caused by moisture entering into the exhaust and shooting out upon start up. I don't believe this is caused by anything discussed here. It happens on trucks without a catalytic converter, too.
Eastern Surplus in Philly has running take-out 6.5 NA engines. Last I checked, they were going for around $2K, maybe just under. A friend bought an engine from him and they sent him a video of it running. I'd check with Eastern (ask for Bill Peaslee).
