I can’t get the street name yet but did manage to find it on google earth so I know where it’s at. It has a faded green fuel tanker next to it. I’m assuming it was used to pull it.
Been a loooooooooong time since being down this far on the forum. About 6 years ago I remember seeing a M221 in a farmers field out here in the baron desert that is Yuma/Tacna. I recently drove past the same field about 6 months ago and for some reason I find that poor little tractor calling me...
I’ve only driven 1 other M35 and it shifted very smoothly. This one is very difficult to get into 2nd. All other gears shift fine. A couple times I couldn’t get it into 2nd and had to stop and start from 1st again. Running a 90 weight mineral gear oil non sulphur based. It’s the equivalent to 40...
Talk about a good excuse to go to Florida, funny you noticed how badly mine are rotten. With them open for ventilation it's a wonderful exfoliant having 50mph wind blast your face with rusty window flakes. Sunglasses are a must! The brake adjusters received anti seize at reassembly, having a...
Just another trip to work, no problems and a beautiful 78 degree morning. Next will be heater restoration (from core to associated wires and air ducts) as well as finishing the front axle spare pumpkin.
Another 30 miles today, took it to work. No issues, just hot as hell being 113 outside. Temp gauge barely moved past 130.
Thinking either thermostat stuck open or that sending unit is bad. If I touch sender wire to ground the gauge pegs full like it should. Unfortunately my multimeter died so I...
I was able to find a TM pic and it is indeed missing all middle bolts. It does have the front bolts with 4 springs and the rearmost. So they’re 3/4 fine thread about 3 inches long. Sounds like $7 a bolt to me. 🤔
dave you still have those pictures of the cloud museum when we went to bard? In...
Logged another 50 miles today with no issues. Couple rough roads to shake things up and then mostly highway.
The bed does bounce a bit. It shakes the whole truck sometimes. Am I missing some hardware? It has the front spring/bolts and the rearmost bolts.
Dave, I already did the dirt mud grease cake rolling on the ground while inebriated with a gas pressure washer wand...cleaning thing. But I didn't get any detergent or degreaser on anything yet. A steam or hot washer would be the shiiit. Are you a licensed simple green applicator? I may require...
She is officially back in service. Turn signals quit on me and picked up a nice nail in a rear tire. Besides that, runs like a top. That feeling of accomplishment has been worth every cent and drop of blood. Still 112 degrees out so I cooked my face. Gonna wait a few days to take her back out…...
Rebuilt the newer used booster pump with AMBAC kit today, installed and got 30 psi idle and 70 at 2500 rpm, she is fixed! It’s hard to say whether the better condition booster fixed it or just having the proper seals in the check valve assembly. Wife held RPMS for me while I watched the gauge...
I am super close to having my 65 Kaiser on the road just working out a small fuel issue. But I think from Yuma to up there would be a little far with the radiator I have. It holds but I dont trust it to for long so i'll probably have to skip this one. :(
I thought I recognized your post, you posted on our Facebook group yesterday and I sent you some video of what it looks like under the FDC. Have you been able to identify or fix the problem? We try to follow up here so that problems and fixes are documented. It helps when others have similar...
He is doing well still recovering from some knee work, has a sweet deuce project he stuffed and Allison 1000 into and used a beefed up 205 transfer for low range ability. Hopefully he will be back someday but he is staying busy and is doing well otherwise
That's craziness Dave! Not the sheer amount of vehicles you have but the AVAILABILITY of so much green gold. Stuff is so scarce down here, water and anything old and cool. I've got the room, I would love to add a early Jimmy again.......I just felt a disturbance in the force......she couldn't...
