Exactly, the cost of parts far exceeds what you pay at auction for truck! If you get a truck for $5k you may have $20k in it when it is repaired and finished.
But what a person needs to consider is the value of one of these trucks. Not the same as the cost.
The problem now is that Bosch bought TRW and ZF and has discontinued all parts availability. Only new boxes are available so no longer will they supply rebuild info or parts list.
I guess it doesn't run? You can flat tow at 35 mph for maybe 50 miles. But then run the engine to lube the trans. Slower is better and could go further. Or remove the drive shafts, pretty easy. If you want to pay to have it moved call Frank @ frank.parsons@directconnecttransport.com (612)...
OK now to change direction. This is for an A1, did all A1 come with springs on the front shocks? These shocks mount with 20 mm bolts top and bottom and are quite different from A0 front shocks. Much larger.
Tom
OK, 1 of my front shocks is bent. They have springs on them like for the up armored cabs I guess. Should I replace just the bent shock with the helper spring or a pair with no springs. Pros and cons please? 2006 A1
Thanks, Tom
Sorry I should have said it is a 2006 C7 A1. Are there manuals for the A1? The connector looks like the connector for the air switch on side of A0 wet tank.
Tom
This is the switch on the back side of the drivers step. mine is missing so I need part number and it would be very useful to have a picture of the connector.
Thanks, Tom
