It was long ago decided that the 3053 was the only trans that would fit and that the OD kit I made was the only option to get what you want. There was very little interest in my kit even though I gave them away at cost so they are no longer available.
Yeah I know all that, I just wanted to know if no 12v would keep EVERYTHING from showing anything. The first thing I will do is put 4 new batts in and see.
with 24 volt jump there is no starter no nothing. like I said and you don't seem to believe me, it is DEAD. NOTHING. Is this normal? there is NO 12 between the batts since they are very BAD. I just want to know if this is what would be expected on a 2006 A1 so I don't waste 3 days looking for a...
you are over thinking the question. assume 0 volts at the 12 v tap between the batteries. the batteries are just physically there but are way beyond ever having any volts. will the truck start?
2006 A1 LMTV has sat for a year and batteries have frozen so they will not even attempt to show a charge. If jumped with just 24 volts everything on truck is still dead. Yes both disconnect switches are on. Is this normal? Is 12 volts between batteries needed for something to enable?
Thanks, Tom
The driveshaft speed has nothing to do with hub reduction. It only related to the final ratio of transmission and engine rpm. So 2600 rpm in 7th is 3333 driveshaft rpm. not really so bad, just a little above most normal things. I routinely run my M-35 at driveshaft speed of 3623. These...
Right. There are to many other vehicles with worse angles and more power that have driveshaft slip joints last for over 100k miles. Someone screwed up and there was a cover up or something. Drive shafts do not just last 3000 miles and need to be replaced.
I bought a new rear shaft from Memphis, it had no weights on it, I took it to a shop to be balanced and it came back with substantial weights on each end. The problem is I don't trust this shop due to past experience, but they are one of the 2 places in Maryland.
OK I have a 94 A0 that has driveshaft problems. So what I find is that these trucks came with the driveshafts not balanced at all. Seems stupid. Then there was a program to replace the shafts and stamp a D on the dash plate. My truck came with those shafts and 2000 miles. The rear shaft has...
