Leave the injectors out and then turn it over with your wrench. It will blow a lot of the oil out.
When that produces no more oil, use the starter to spin it quicker and it will spray out the rest.
The wrench that took care of that M880 knew about the bearing grease zerk. Since the truck was ex-mil with lots of miles, the left front bearing started growling so he went to have it replaced. It required a press to do it, so it was sent out for that job.

Another thing that kills mileage on these is the full-time 4WD. Mile marker used to make a kit to deactivate that into manual mode. No way to put locking hubs on it without a lot of parts changeout. That kit did markedly inprove the MPG.

When factory trucks are equipped with van bodies, they use the same system of a 1" thick wooden runner on both sides of the frame and the same bolting pattern as a cargo bed.
At least that is what I've found on trucks like the deuce M109 and the expansible vans on 5-tons.
I haven't seen them, but more than likely they are actually NOS 5kW genset engines.
