My biggest problem is keeping the soap water solution going.
With our heat, it dries up in the damn squirt bottle.

I tried to find a decent video on YouTube showing how to do it, none of them are correct, but they did the job with a lot more work and improper tools.
I've been doing all my own MV tire work for many years, and with the right technique it is not a big deal.
I'm going to have to make my own...
All Spicer 3053 trans are quirky, and most are in the 'can't find it, grind it ' club.
Never seen two act the same, and all of them have a 4-5 shift 'notch'.
Funny tho, the 3052 as found in the gassers are smoother, prolly 'cause of the way Spicer made the multifuel trans a 5th over with...

I've driven two Internationals (a 10-wheel tractor and a two axle dump) over the years.
Not a synchro in sight, and definitely a learning experience!
I've strapped them to the front of my cement mixer with a couple handfulls of old bearing balls and laundry soap.
Run it for an hour, you ought to see the gunk that gets out of it.

On the stock deuce and 5-ton air horns, the electric valve is screwed into the horn body directly.
They are very loud, and being tuned to a tri-tone (dissonant), so are very nerve shattering to others as they should be: GTFOMW!
Horns from civvy tucks won't be any louder or effective.
I've seen a couple engine knocks in tacticals be broken accessory brackets (alternator/generator or compressor).
It was really tough to find them, but easier than an overhaul...
Brake failures are seldom encountered, when the truck gets regular maintenance on the original air-over-hydraulic system.
It worked well for many years on these trucks, and I've never had a failure on my 5 tons.
