Gotta say thats an awesome job to be proud of. There is a guy on facebook in PA that just scrapped one and may scrap a second. Quite a sad deal. But looks like your on your way to saving one!
Greetings and welcome. Are both axles lockedup? I would start by jacking up one axle enough to get both sets of tires off the ground, then try and rotate by hand. If the wheels move a short distance, then stop, and you can reverse and do the same thing in the other direction its probably more...
New Shoes
This was last fall, Picked up a few tires as mine were getting pretty well used, oh and flat. Decided to have the local sandblaster man get rid of the old crud so well could get some new paint on there. This was last fall before the weather turned
ThatIs awesome. Thanks so much for sharing that. I’ve seen 3 to 4 this past year on the Internet that people have junked out. Sad they don’t try and recover them because it is one of the trucks that has a lot of usefulness. Keep us posted on your progress
As a fellow Montanan, I wanted to take a moment to post about US Army SSG Atkins, who this week was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions in Iraq, June 1, 2007. SSG Atkins was a Bozeman, Montana native who paid the ultimate sacrifice protecting his country and the men he...
US Army SSG Atkins - Bozeman, MT Memorial Day

I’m curious, pretty sure I’ve read this in one of threads, but what kind of luck have people had rebuilding them? I see Memphis offers a kit and a new pump. Mine doesn’t leak but the bearing has some play.
Does your start well in the cold? Do you have a block heater for it? Mine starts very well into colder temps than I'd care to start it not plugged in. I have yet to get a heater put on it. It is amazing how totally worthless NDT are in snow. I think a Nascar would have more traction
My opinion is to go for it! I own a m35 as well, they are great too, don't get me wrong, but I really enjoy these jimmys. If you have a little space, the old trucks are still around. Some people want a fortune for them, and some are fair. I'm working off memory here, but I bought two parts...
Nice, I grew up north of the Mormon church from sunriver, on the east end of the Fairfield bench, by Randy Parker. I flat towed mine with a m35 from laurel to big timber on the back roads. My fear for you would be once you hit the interstate and if you have trouble it could be interesting. If...
Merry Christmas to you as well Merle! Don't feel bad, been mired in housing projects and work stuff. Hoping to get back on track next year. If you blink, years go by. Maybe one of these days we could make a trip your way and give you a hand. Where are you at with it?
You could run your choke out a little when accelerating engine in park and it should rev up. You could at least do that and see if there is a change. Also the accelerator pump wouldn't cause you to not get above 30mph over a long stretch in the interstate I wouldn't think. That's my two cents...
Mine had something wrong with the Huey Duey, you know part # AM in the figure. Also ended up replacing RR. The resistor ohm-ed out exactly the same as the old one. The truck would start but step on the gas and it would die like a fuel issue. Was maddening. This distributor has more crap, I mean...
Okay so figured out the air compressor regulator hose assembly. The regulator side is a usdot jounce fitting Parker pn 66rbsv-6-3/4
firewall fitting on the hose is a Parker pn 68rb-6-4
and the usdot rated hose is 271-6-rl
these are not crimp style fittings-they tried to manufacture with crimp...
