I have used a box end open end wrench cut in half because I needed to use a cheater pipe on it a socket will come in handy to . The threads are all the same right on left off the nut size is 2 1/4 on older trailers some are 2 3/8 .
I have pulled a third member out of my M211 when I found metal to discover it was trash from a past over haul . good luck and let us know what you find .
Look at Memphis Equipment site for m35 and it should be listed just needs cut down . when I ordered it was each strip by it's self It is nice stuff not like the rock hard stripping I chipped off .

The Radiator in your m51a2 sits close to the hood you may be able to move it up about an inch or so be for it hits the hood . The lower the fan the better there may not be much space between your valve cover and the hood at the front of your new engine. I don't know how tall your 466 is fan...
I use the black rubber ones at work they have the hollow spaces on the bottom . on soft or muddy ground they push in if the truck rolls on them they work better on there side . on hard ground if the truck is driven over them they split and flatten out .
When towing with all wheel on the ground . transfer in neutral
transmission in neutral
do not pull faster then 15mph
if towed over 10 miles remove front axle drive hub flanges
remove drive line between transfer case and pillow block
remove drive line between transfer case and forward rear axle
