I thought of the inside clips because I have found them to be used on the end of the drive line that to the slip joint that connects to the tranfer case .Thinking this might get your drive line back in the same way it came out.
Pistons I pulled from a LDS have a large oil ports that looks like it lets oil run through the top of the piston and small ports for the oil ring . Piston from the LD has just ports for the oil ring .
I changed the power steering reservoir to one that mounts on the pump less fluid also two less hoses . To do this I had to change the air intake and move the filter housing rearward on the fender . Also reworked the cover that hides the fuel filters. I rased the radiator about 5/8 of a inch...
The drive cable in the housing may need to be lubed . it slould move freely if it bindes it will make the needle jump when the tourque over power the spot where it is binding . You might check the fit of the square cable in to the square in the tach drive some civilian trucks have a plastic...

Type 30 brake chambers should replace your bad chambers . and the right valve will set the brakes when the truck air lines are unhooked or the air pressure drops from the truck . This trailer may already have this valve it's just full of rust .
The square on top of the bull gear cover may be stamped with model number and rating . The winch needs to be cleaned up and have the cover removed to check the bull gear -bushings and see how much brass shavings are in the bottom of the case . Some military winches get very little or no use...
